Lokumu Orphan Care Campaign

November is National Orphan Awareness Month. According to UNICEF, there are 153 Million orphans around the world. A less familiar statistic? 83% of those orphans have at least one living parent, many of whom are vulnerable mothers born into the cycle of extreme poverty. When you donate to The Lokumu Project, you take part in a very particular, extremely powerful form of orphan care - preventative care. Together, we can attack the orphan crisis by targeting one of its biggest roots - global poverty. Through high-impact business training, mentorship, and financial aid with accountability, we have the power to help vulnerable mothers become thriving entrepreneurs. We can be a part of keeping families together. Every little bit helps. And every little bit goes to the women we support. $2000 will allow us to fully sponsor our new cohort of Lokumu students so they can begin the program on December 2nd.
